2、启动代理后，再查看此时上网的ip地址是多少
查看了真实ip地址后，关闭浏览器，或者使用清除电脑痕迹工具清除一下缓存。重新连通网络，启动翻墙软件代理，打开浏览器，再次查询此时上网的ip地址是多少，注意这时显示的ip地址就应该是代理的ip地址了，多数翻墙代理地址主要是美国的ip地址，而不是原来国内的真实ip地址，国家也应该不再是显示 China。
要注意到是：如果还是原来的真实ip，说明设置有误，这时就不要访问敏感网站，停止上网。
第二步：是否能够访问被墙的网站
如果使用代理前，不能访问某个网站，如国外的一些重要敏感网如民运的、法轮功的、六四的、facebook、twitter、维基百科、youtube等等，那么使用代理后可以访问了，一般说明是翻墙成功了。
但是，有一点邀请一些敏感身份的人士特别注意：有时候GFW可能出于某些目的临时解封一些重要的敏感网站，这存在一种可能性就是"钓鱼"，那么不使用翻墙软件代理或者因为错误设置翻墙代理，也可能可以登录访问被封锁的敏感网站，那么可能就存在以后的安全问题，所以，对于特别敏感的国内人士翻墙访问敏感网站，发布一些敏感话题，那么最好一定要通过第一步检测自己上网时翻墙软件代理是否起作用了。
